Julie’s Story

Julie has over 15 years of experience as a Holistic Skin therapist, Aromatherapist & founder of Organic skincare brand, Province Apothecary.

After struggling with severe allergies and eczema all her life, Julie was tired of not being unable to find products and facials for her sensitive skin.

In 2010, Julie began studying Aromatherapy, Holistic Health, Herbal Medicine, and Aesthetics in Toronto. Here, she formed the foundation of her skincare + facial expertise .

In 2012, she started offering organic and holistic facials and formulating products for her treatments and facial clients and founded the organic skincare brand + spa, Province Apothecary, in Kensington Market.

Province Apothecary began with Julie’s mission to produce the best skincare and wellness products using only the highest quality, certified organic and sustainable ingredients sourced from each Canadian province and around the world. Each product has an abundance of powerful medicinal herbs and therapeutic essential oils infused into each of them. All of her products are nourishing, hydrating and rejuvenating. They work for all skin types, including sensitive and reactive skin. She will also customize products during your facial that will target your specific concerns.

Julie lives in Williamsford, Ont with her husband & toddler on a solar & wind powered farm. They moved from Toronto in 2017. Since then, they have been focusing on living sustainably and taking care of the land that surrounds them. Julie’s favourite things to grow are garlic, perennial herbs + flowers. She hopes to invite you to her farm one day for workshops and foraging walks. Photos by Christa Treadwell
